Husky plays host to “Macca”and Pete, January 2010

On Saturday 23rd January 2010, 20 triathletes from Queensland, NSW, Victoria and Singapore descended on the NSW South coastal town of Huskisson for 4 days of intense triathlon training at the inaugural Macca-X BPM Australian training camp. The event was hosted by multiple world champion triathlete Chris “Macca” McCormack and 2009 Australian long course champion Pete Jacobs, both of whom were ready to put the camp participants through their paces. With a ratio of 1 coaching staff member to every 6 athletes, participants were excited by the personal attention they would receive over the coming 4 days.

Chris “Macca” McCormack hits Asia, February 2010

Following on from the success of the Macca-X BPM Pro camp last July, Multiple World Champion triathlete and friend of BPM, Chris “Macca” McCormack returned to Singapore for a 3 day training camp with athletes from Singapore and Hong Kong. Prior to the camp, Chris made headlines with his comment “I am the fittest man in the world” and everyone was keen to see exactly how true this statement was.

Weekend in Bintan with The Grangers, August 2010

After receiving a number of requests for a girls only camp, BPM-Sport decided it was time to find a champion female triathlete who would be willing to join us in Singapore and help us host one. Having worked with Belinda Granger earlier in the year, and remembering how popular she was with session attendees, Belinda was the perfect person to ask. Fortunately Belinda agreed to come back to Singapore to work with BPM and so the planning started for our first ever “Testosterone Free” Female Only Camp.

July 2009 – BPM Elite Training Camp with Chris McCormack a resounding success

The first BPM Elite training camp in conjunction with Macca-X has now finished to rave reviews. Chris “Macca” McCormack joined 15 athletes in Desaru, at the sold out camp, for an intense weekend of triathlon training. Participants enjoyed some quality one on one time with one of Triathlon”s greatest and were able to pick his brains for advice, guidance and assistance over the 2 days.

January 2009 – ANZA Cycling and Beats Per Minute Malaysian Triathlon camp a hit

ANZA Cycling and Beats Per Minute joined forces recently for an exclusive camp in southern Malaysia. Over 40 Athletes spent a weekend updating their skills and knowledge with the latest training techniques and nutritional advice from Beats Per Minute. The camp also involved some enjoyable social activities and of course giving athletes the opportunity of putting in some big miles in Coastal Malaysia under the guidance of BPM Coaches. November 2008 – Beats Per Minute meet up with Olympic Medallists at Noosa Triathlon

Team BPM Members were fortunate enough to meet and mingle with Beijing Olympic Medallists Emma Snowsill and Emma Moffat whilst attending the Noosa Triathlon. Given their recent success “the Emma’s” were remaining upbeat and despite being inundated with requests for autographs and photos both were very generous with their time and smiles.

Beats Per Minute were fortunate to take away some words of advice and motivational tips from these two champions, as well as tasting what it is like to have the Olympic medallists fly past you like you are standing still on the run leg of a triathlon!
